Metoda ampuh yang bisa membantu Kawasaki Ninja 2tak 150R lolos standard emisi Euro3


Penulis tertarik dengan pemberitaan tentang bagaimana nasib dari Kawasaki Ninja 150R yang mesinnya dua tak. Sebelumnya dikatakan produksi akan berhenti tapi belakangan ada kabar bahwa KMI masih memperjuangkan agar motor 2 tak ini bisa lolos. Berikut contoh pemeberitaannya:

Yup…..Ninja 2 tak laris manis kangbro. Motor ini tetap disukai dan bahkan cenderung naik penjualannya pada triwulan pertama 2015. Kondisi tersebut ternyata membuat Kawasaki mumet sehingga riset untuk meloloskan mesin 2 tak dari jeratan Euro 3 dilakukan. Hasilnya….menurut Wakil Kepala Departemen Penjualan dan Promosi KMI Michael Chandra Tanadhi, emisi gas engine 2 tak sang ninin sudah sangat siap menyambutnya….

“Semua studi sudah dilakukan sejak lama, bahkan kami sudah berhasil membuat kadar Karbondioksida (CO2), sesuai Euro3. Semuanya sudah lolos, cuma tinggal satu hal saja yang masih belum lolos, adalah soal tingkat kebisingan. Kami maunya lanjut, jadi siapa bilang berhenti, belum diputuskan. Sekarang posisi antara dilanjutkan atau dihentikan, sudah 70:30 persen, jadi sangat mungkin. Minimal Juli harus didaftarkan ulang, waktunya beda-beda tiap model. Jadi tunggu saja” ujarnya seperti dilansir Kompas.

Dan edannya, berita Un-Official yang diperoleh ke balapmotor mengarah pada posisi rumor 70:30 miring ke arah kemungkinan tidak jadinnya Diskontinu Kawasaki Ninja 150 dua tak beeh . . . Namun ada pertanyaan . . . apakah bisa Lolos regulasi emisi nantinya?

Bro dan sis sekalian…niat Kawasaki untuk tetap mempertahankan Ninja 150 2 tak sepertinya akan menghadapi jalanan terjal. Terkendala aturan emisi gas buang kategori Euro 3…..ternyata mereka mengakui bahwa tidak mudah bagi mesin 2 tak lolos dari sana. Diungkapkan oleh petinggi mereka yakni Wakil Kepala Departemen Penjualan dan Promosi KMI Michael Chandra Tanadhi…..posisi Ninja 150 memang sangat berat dan merekapun tidak yakin produk yang terkenal dengan SKIPS engine bisa lolos. Waduh….
Pengakuan ini tentu kurang menyenangkan bagi kita sebagai biker serta para fans 2 stroke engine. Jelas KMI ingin tetap mendulang profit dari sang SKIPS engine. Tapi perjuangan untuk kesana tidak mudah mengingat mesin 2 tak memang identik dengan polusi. Selama ini Kawasaki sudah berupaya menggiring mesin Ninja150 agar bisa lolos dari Euro 2 lewat penambahan catalic converter serta SKIPS yang memungkinkan mesin lebih efisien. Akan tetapi…untuk Euro 3, tentu lebih berat….

Masih simpang siur soal apa yang membuat Ninja 150R tidak lolos standard emisi Euro3, ada yang menduga soal kebisingan, ada yang menduga soal emisinya.

Untuk teknologi mengurangi kebisingan, seharusnya di pasaran sudah banyak metode untuk mengurangi kebisingan tanpa banyak mengurangi tenaga atau memakan banyak tempat, seperti contohnya teknologi berikut:
Flowmasters Laminar Flow Technology

The straight-through design was not good enough for the Flowmaster engineers, who wanted more control over the gas flow and the sound waves. The solution they came up with is the Flowmaster Laminar Flow Technology. The straight perforated steel pipe of the straight through muffler is replaced with two perforated cones. The cones make it possible to control the way the exhaust gases flow through the muffler. The angles of the cones and the perforation patterns can be adjusted to give the mufflers different sound and power characteristics. This way, Flowmaster can create low-pressure zones that improve exhaust gas scavenging and control the gas flow to make it more even and free from turbulence (thus Laminar Flow Technology). With better control of the gas flow, Flowmaster also gets more control of the sound waves. The angles of the cones are chosen to reflect the sound waves of certain wavelengths in such a way that they cancel out themselves. By combining this with carefully chosen sizing of the cones, the muffler casings and the amount of acoustic material packed into the muffler, and by varying how hard the acoustic material is packed, Flowmaster takes control over the exhaust note and tunes it to the tone desired for each and every application.

How it works: The Vortex Insert Cone installed near the exit of the header collector or muffler outlet provides a large friction area to reflect and dissipate sound energy, thus reducing the dB level. The open area of the cone is actually greater than the area of the collector or exhaust pipe, thus reducing a back pressure condition. Because no significant back pressure has been introduced, the engine is still able to use the scavenge ability of a good header to create horsepower and torque. Dyno and track tested show significant noise reduction with little or no power loss.

 

Bila masalahnya emisi, ada cara untuk bisa mengurangi emisi berbahaya secara signifikan, caranya adalah dengan metode ionisasi dengan voltase tinggi. Teknologi ini dikatakan bisa sangat meningkatkan efisiensi catalytic converter atau bahkan menggantikannya. Berikut adalah contoh patennya:

A apparatus for controlling the amount of polluting substances within a fluid such as the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, wherein the polluted fluid passes through a corona-producing chamber having spaced conductive members biased by an alternating electrical potential which effect elimination or conversion of the harmful substances within the exhaust through a series of chemical reactions. Prior to passing through the corona-producing chamber, the exhaust gas is mixed with air or other oxygen containing substance to create an ozone field and other chemical reactants within the chamber to reduce the amount of various contaminants of the polluted gas. The corona-producing member is provided with a plurality of corona-emitting elements which cause an intense corona discharge to occur within the chamber.

An emission control unit is mounted in the exhaust line of a fossil fuel internal combustion engine and includes a tubular housing in which a lime sleeve is received. The sleeve has an axial opening through which a corona wire extends. Exhaust gasses pass through the sleeve along the wire. Placing a charge on the wire drives pollutants in the exhaust laterally outwardly into the sleeve at a direction which is 90° to the direction of exhaust travel. The sleeve chemically interacts with the pollutants and neutralizes them with little hazard to the environment.

Untuk teknologi korona ini, saya pernah mencoba membuat sendiri dengan bahan sederhana. Hasilnya tidak dicobakan di knalpot tapi di udara masuknya kijang ’86. Hasilnya luar biasa, mesin yang biasanya bergoyang dan membuat kap yang sedang terbuka klotak klotak jadi berjalan mulus lus dan kap jadi hening. Mungkin kalau dipakai di jalan rasanya bisa seperti NOS. Problem yang penulis jumpai ketika itu adalah implementasi membutuhkan logam yang tahan karat ekstrem dan insulator yang tahan panas ekstrem. Selain itu kelistrikan juga harus di grounding sempurna agar tidak mengganggu kelistrikan kendaraan.

Berikut adalah semua komponen yang dipakai. menggunakan pipa keramik yang bagian luarnya dilapisi tambal panci atau istilah kerennya aluminum tape, bagian dalam pakai kawat berulir yang tanpa email.

Saat dinyalakan, kawat di bagian dalam akan mengeluarkan sinar korona ungu yang akan mengionisasi udara yang lewat. Ini efeknya jauh lebih kuat dari ionizernya AC atau pembersih udara.
