website resmi KTM sudah menunjukkan motor injeksi 300EXC dan 250EXC yang 2 stroke. Motor sudah dilengkapi dengan sistem injeksi yang namanya TPI.

Dari sisi model sama sekali nggak ada bedanya dengan motor KTM yang lain. Penulis lihat gambar yang KTM 300 EXC TPI dan KTM 250 EXC TPI sama persis yaitu berikut ini:

Fitur yang menurut penulis penting di KTM EXC 250 TPI

ENGINE
The KTM 250cc engine is known to be the most powerful and most competitive 2-stroke engine of the class. For MY18 the KTM 250 EXC (EU model only) is fitted with newly developed TPI (transfer port injection) fuel injection system, a unique feature when it comes to sporty 2-stroke race bikes. The patented EFI system with two injectors mounted on the transfer ports of the cylinder makes the engine much smoother to ride and reduces the fuel consumption drastically.

The engine management system (EMS) of the TPI models features a new control unit located below the seat. The control unit determines the ignition timing and the amount of fuel to inject is based on several sensor readings such as intake and ambient air pressure, throttle position, oil and water temperature.

Thanks to altitude and temperature compensation the rider does not need to worry about fiddling around with the jetting anymore. it’s possible to change the bike’s mood in seconds thanks to two supplied power valve springs. Limitless settings for different tracks and preferences are up for grabs.

An electronic oil pump feeds oil from the oil tank via the throttle body into the engine intake, and ensures a perfect fuel-oil mix in all conditions and engine speeds. The system, which reduces up to 50% of the smoke from the exhaust system over previous models, is managed by the control unit based on the engine’s revs and load measured by the TPS (throttle position sensor). The oil capacity of approximately 0.7 liters is enough for 5-6 refills of fuel

Katanya 250cc itu mesin 2 tak paling kuat dan kompetitif. di Make Year 2018 dilengkapi sistem injeksi. Pakai dua injector pada saluran transfer untuk mesin lebih halus dan irit. Shaft juga dilengkapi balancer yang disempurnakan sehingga getaran mesin bisa dikurangi.

ECU dari TPI ditaruh dibawah jok. ECU mengambil informasi dari sensor tekanan udara intake dan sekitar, posisi throttle, suhu oli dan air. Tidak perlu lagi penyesuaian ketinggian dan suhu. Bahkan juga sudah disediakan dua setelan tenaga untuk menyesuaikan dengan sirkuit dan selera.

Oli dicampur secara elektronik di throttle body sehingga campuran bensin dan oli lebih sempurna. Diatur sesuai dengan putaran mesin dan beban yang terukur dari throttle position sensor. Ini bisa mengurangi asap hingga 50% dari versi karbu. Oli 0.7 liter bisa cukup untuk 5-6 kali isi bensin.

Selain itu dikatakan juga knalpot katanya ambil dari versi karbu. Balancing dibuat mengurangi getar di rpm bawah. Throttle body dilengkapi dengan throttle position sensor.

Tapi sayang, di website nggak disebut tenaga ataupun torsi. Konsumsi bensin pun tidak ada. jadi tidak bisa dibandingkan. Berat ready to race tanpa bensin KTM 250cc versi 2 tak sama persis dengan berat versi 4 tak, yaitu 103kg.
