Tidak seperti pembalap lain, Marquez mencari limit ban nggak pakai feeling


Mungkin karena dari awal Marquez membalap selalu untuk Honda, sehingga Marquez pun akhirnya mengembangkan cara berkendara sendiri. Dan berbeda dengan pembalap lainnya, Marquez tidak mengandalkan feeling untuk mencegah crash bila kalau grip ban depan sudah mau hilang.

Lalu pakai cara apa?

Berikut penjelasannya:

Marc Marquez: “During today’s race I saved two or three crashes, because this is my style with my elbows. I know I have that small extra with my elbows to save the crash, so I can always push 100 per cent.”

Ia mengaku mencegah crash pakai siku lengan. Melihat banyak foto – foto di Misano yang kena aspal itu justru dengkulnya, maka mungkin Marquez mendeteksi motor mau crash dengan dengkulnya. Caranya mungkin langsung diterobos saja, dengan kecepatan yang ia ingat untuk tikungan tersebut.

Tapi cara itu nggak bisa diterapkan di Yamaha. Karena kalau di Yamaha itu kalau sudah crash ya langsung ndelosor:

Oleh karena itu Fabio Quartararo mencegah crash nggak pakai siku lengan ataupun dengkul, tapi pakai feeling:

Fabio doesn’t use his elbows like Marc, but he feels the slide very, very early, so it’s reaction time and control. He lets the bike come up maybe half a degree, then he can save it.

Jadi Fabio Quartararo itu bisa mendeteksi limit dari grip ban motor pakai feeling saja, nggak pakai alat bantuan apapun lagi (banyak yang tanya ini kalau penulis review pakai feeling):

Fabio Quartararo:“It’s positive if I can feel I’m losing the front and I don’t crash,” he said. “I was pushing to try to brake really hard and to try to feel the limit with the front and I felt it, which is something really great; to feel the limit and not crash.”

 

Jadi Marquez merupakan pembalap yang unik karena tidak pakai feeling. Penulis juga tidak pernah tahu Marquez bicara butuh bisa feeling ban depan.

Sementara itu pembalap lain, bahkan yang dari Honda sangat mengandalkan feeling:

    • Yang tahu Fabio cepat di tikungan 3 bukan cuma Marquez, jadi sebutan ilmuwan berlebihan kalau hanya diperuntukkan bagi Marquez saja. Harusnya semua pembalap MotoGP disebut ilmuwan.

      Quartararo’s Petronas Yamaha teammate Morbidelli said of him, “Fabio is able to take the fast corners at a very high speed and with very little effort.” What does little effort mean? It meant that he was making few visible corrections. His ability to know just how far to push the front tire enabled him to do this reliably.

      Pembalap lain sebenarnya juga tahu, tapi Marquez unggul di aksinya, nggak ragu untuk melakukan manuver kotor. Sayangnya manuver seperti itu tidak disebutkan di penjelasan berikut:

      Marc Melakukan Overtake di Sektor 1 tepatnya di straight . . pun bisa sobat lihat Fabio dengan mudah kembali Overtake di T4. Lalu Sobat bisa lihat bahwa Marc akhirnnya melakukan winning Overtake di T8 dimana ia bisa memaksimalkan Power dari RC213V, sampai sampai karet sol boot Alpinestarnya turut dipakai untuk membantu hard Brake hingga keluar asap di T8 ini.

      Atau mungkin dianggap normal dan wajar manuver seperti itu ya?
